Credit Authorization
Authorization for Credit Checks
By submitting a loan request through Scratchpay, you authorize us and participating lenders to obtain consumer reports and related information about you from consumer reporting agencies.
Soft vs Hard Inquiries
Soft Credit Check (Prequalification)
When you check rates through Scratchpay, we or our lender partners may perform a soft credit check. This will not affect your credit score and may not appear on your credit report to third parties.
Hard Credit Inquiry (If You Accept an Offer)
If you choose to accept a loan offer from a lender, the lender will likely perform a hard credit inquiry. Hard inquiries may temporarily lower your credit score and will appear on your credit report.
